Week 04: Site Builder + Hosting

This week was another lesson chock full of new things for me to learn. The amount of options out on the web for hosting and site builders is staggering and constantly evolving. Someone once gave me some advice about how to handle a situation by saying: "adapt and change". I feel this advice holds true for how businesses are run on the web as well. Even now, as I learn about how to create a website, in my mind I am thinking, "well, instagram has capabilities to purchase things now" and "YouTube is a huge place to promote business now too". Websites, hosting sites and site builders will and are "adapting and changing" every day to the evolving sophistication of consumers of all kinds. That being said, I'm happy with what I have learned this week and it will only help me as I evolve online as well. Ultimately, I have learned that there are many great options for site builders and hosts out there. I've learned that the more details you have about your website goals, the more easy and clear your decisions will be. The best part about this class really is that we are just jump in head first and we learn as we go. Research is good, but pulling the trigger is of paramount importance. Here we go!
