Week 03: Sourcing the Product

This week's lesson was an eye opening and I learned more than I expected. I am fascinated about the whole Broker, Manufacturer, Wholesaler, Final customer process. I had never really pondered the options that are available when deciding how to sell a product. "Affiliate marketing" and "drop shipping" were completely new terms for me. I knew exactly zero about them before – now I feel much more confident in what they entail at least from a surface aspect. Honestly, my mind was kind of blown out the abundance of options. It was a little overwhelming but interesting too. By the end of this week's lesson, I found myself also pondering the ethical aspect and environmental impact these products that we ship from all over the world, potentially have. My eyes were opened a bit. Also, at first I thought the Case Studies were kind of silly and because it wasn't a "real" story it wasn't of much worth. But I have completely changed my tune. I think the case studies create a chance to take a deeper look, to form a solid opinion and then discuss with other students. I am growing to like it.
